Ultimate Zombie Killer contains cool comic style graphics worked up in a minimal palette to convey the dark moody atmosphere of a zombie game. But although the style and mood is right, the game play is nothing knew and in fact a little boring – I’m afraid (and not in a good way) that this isn’t the ultimate zombie game.

UZK is a dual-thumb first person shooter with the helpful option to switch to left-hand mode, however, you are restricted in your movements and play in a fixed position without being able to tilt or scroll in the gaming environment. With one thumb you target the cross-hair and the other thumb controls the trigger and re-load function, unfortunately at times it feels a little unresponsive.

On a positive note, the eerie background music helps to create an appropriate ‘zombie’ atmosphere and there are many different zombie enemies to fight against. The sfx for the weapons and ammo is lacking in impact and doesn’t help the cause for UZK.

Overall UZK doesn’t deliver as an engaging zombie offering, even with the stylistic visuals, I think the developer [Choi MinKyu] should rethink the control options, improve the sfx and add more background effects to the static (only one) background level. Even for 59p you should stay away from this game.
