We try to keep things simple when reviewing games for the iPhone & iPad.

You won’t always agree with our reviews, so we encourage you to try the Lite versions where available, but when it comes to awarding the rating our priority is on playability and lastability.

Of course, nice looking games with a killer soundtrack make the whole experience that much more engaging, but for these devices, jumping straight in and enjoying the game once it’s loaded, we think, is at the top of the list.

Alongside playability  is staying power, will you be playing the game next month, next week or even tomorrow? With this in mind, we’re not afraid to update our reviews if we feel we were a little harsh or even too kind when awarding those all important stars. And to round it off, we do consider value for money. No one wants to throw away cash to a game which is never played, so we’ll let you know what we think.
